Well, if so, what about FLAC instead MP3, Ogg or WAV? FLAC is a lossless codec, so it is suitable for any kind of sound processing without quality loss. It also needs much less disk space than WAV. FLAC is even supported by many hardware players nowadays. Its popularity grows stadily. By the way, it is also completely free of patents.
What do you think of that?
