Solo career (2002-...)

Style: Progressive Rock/Metal, Classic

Daniel Bautista's solo career really begins in 2000, when he still was in Hipospadia. He recorded two experimental albums called "Autoindulgence" and "Alone", only for his friends. Some material of these works is here and there in this web.

In 2002, a Hipospadia's project to cover classics pieces would become in the "Classics and Soundtracks" collection over the years. During the 2002 summer, Daniel also composed many experimental songs, which were published in the album "Recycle Bin" (2008).

Daniel came back to its solo career in 2007. While he (patiently) waited for the release of the Ciruelo material, he composed and recorded the EP "Music For A Film", a soundtrack played by a rock band.

Since then, he still works in new solo projects.

Style: Hard Rock/Metal

Ciruelo Cilindrico is a rock band that was born in 2002 in Arucas. After several changes of guitarists, the line-up became stabilized. Hipospadia (1999-2004)

www.inicia.es/de/hipospadia

Style: Extreme Crossover

Musically speaking, Hipospadia was a compendium of all the paranoias of its components. They have been compared with Mastretta (in Radio 3, RNE), Mr. Bungle, Muse... It also has been told that they seem a verbena band. But this is only the iceberg top. The felt such unhappy playing an only style of music that they decided playing several styles: pop, death metal, tango, thrash metal, bossanova, black metal, classic metal, hard rock, jazz, blues, oriental, country, funk, techno, punk, classic, rock, latin and progressive metal. And circus music. They were such a bastards!

Hipospadia was born in October 1999, when Álvaro Blanco, Sergio Domínguez and Antonio decided to create a band. In the beginnings, the band was called Mr. Frog. After probing several guitarists, Daniel Bautista was the chosen one. The meetings began in Arucas in November 1999. Miguel García (vocalist of a band called In Albis) joined the band as keyboardist.

There was no idea of the music they would make. In fact, they pretended to create a normal band. But in the first meetings that idea became impossible, if you have in mind that the more rotten brains of the island were in the same band. In december the name of the group changed to Hipospadia (a weird illness...). They were playing in the rehearsal local for 6 months, composing themes, and recording some homemade material, finally recompiled in a cassette called "The Calima Hedionda EP", with dreadful themes and terrible sound.

In August 2000, the entered the Arr.wav studios of Carlos Eximienta, to record their first demo. It was recorded live in two hours, and mixed in another 4 hours. That demo, called "Troops Of Glam", has 13 tracks. Some themes of this recording were always part of their set-list.

In April 2001 the decided to fire the drummer because of his lack of motivation. This led the band to change its philosophy. Daniel Bautista started programming the drums via MIDI (as in Evil Inside). And they changed their rehearsal local to Las Palmas de G.C.

In May 2001 they recorded the Gonzo Dreams demo, with MIDI drums. In May 2002 Ezequiel Rivero "Kuly" (Witches Sabbath, Container, Tengu) joined the band. They were classified in the Paraninfo Contest Half-Final of 2001 (a competition between local bands), and they won the Contest of 2002. They have been MKM cover. During 2002, they produced two video-clips: "Smgma" and "Porno Autosy". In Ocotober 2002 they released their third and last demo: "Krapulas".

Hipospadia was dissolved in April 2004.

Daementia (2001)

Style: Nu-Metal

Number 5 was very important in this project.

This band was made in 5 days: three of them were used for composing musics, one for recording it and one for recording the voices (although the mixes and editings took their time). The first and only one demo has 5 themes. The band was born September 20th, 2001. If you sum its digits, you will obtain the magic number. (2+0+0+9+2+0+0+1=14; 1+4=5). The components of Daementia were: Álvaro Blanco (vocals), Ibai (guitar effects) and Daniel Bautista (guitar and MIDI). Their music has several influences: Glassjaw, Mudvayne, Tool, System Of A Down, Primus...

Mördare (2000)

Style: Black Metal

MÖRDARE was a Black Metal band, created in August 2000 by Álvaro Blanco and Daniel Bautista.

Their first and only one demo was entitled "The Winds Of Nordic Pagan Lands Vol. I", and was recorded at Alvaro's home, except the voices, which were recorded in the Arr.wav studios of Carlos Eximienta. The sound is not very good, but, what were you waiting for a black metal demo? In that CD, we made a song of every style in Black Metal: Cradle songs, Kovenant songs, and so on.

The covers and logos are made by Ana Bautista.

Evil Inside (1999-2000)

Style: Thrash Metal

EVIL INSIDE was a band where a particular vision of renewed Thrash Metal was made.

Evil Inside was born in December of 1998. It was created by Carlos Yánez (drums), David Alonso (bass) and Daniel Bautista (guitar) from the ashes of a band that, ironically, has nothing to do with Evil musically: Santos Inocentes. At those moments, the band was completed by Álvaro Blanco in vocals and Dailos Araña in guitars.

Their meetings were hold in La Pardilla (Telde). There they were until spring of 2000. During that time, David Alonso was fired, and Jael Navarro joined as a bassist. This epoch finished with the break with Carlos, who had a lack of motivation. He was substituted by Christian Kruger (Frontside), and they changed their rehearsal local to Telde itself. Due to the fact that Christian had to travel in the summer, and due to the lack of motivation and technical capabilities of the rest of the band, Álvaro and Daniel decided that Fran (drums) and Sergio Domínguez (Cool N' K.O., Hipospadia) joined the band. But this project didn't work.

In September of 2000, Evil Inside (a.k.a. Álvaro and Daniel) recorded their only one demo: "Empathy", recorded with MIDI drums.

From this point, there is nothing more to say. They have been chosen in several contests, but the fact of playing with MIDI drums has always been an obstacle. They have tried to resucitate the band (with the drummer Doramas of Morpheus, Sin Rostro, Presto), but with no results.

Cool N' K.O. (1998-2001)

Style: Pop/Rock

In 1996, when Daniel Bautista run away to Santos Inocentes, God's Rage members decided to change the style of the music and the name of the band to: Cool N' K.O. And with a new singer: Itamar. However, in 1998 the band was disintegrating, and Daniel Bautista helped their old friends playing in several shows and recordings. But the band disappeared in 2001, with shy tries to resucitate it in 2002.

Angkor Watt (1996)

Style: Heavy Metal

An one-day project of Carlos Yánez and Daniel Bautista outside Santos Inocentes, sick of the punk/urban/rock of that band, and wanting to write a glorious page in the Heavy Metal Book... Ridiculous, isn't it?

Santos Inocentes (1996-1999)

Style: Urban Rock

Santos Inocentes was a group of friends trying to make music, more than a proper band of music. Their influences were: Extremoduro, Barricada, Siniestro Total and more Spanish Rock. Their shows were limited to their school theatre, and a pair of locals more. The band was created by Daniel Bautista (guitar) and Carlos Yánez (keyboard); and Francisco David Brito (guitar), Alfonso García (vocals) and David Alonso (bass) joined the band very fast. Then Carlos changed his keys with the drums. Fran would leave the band in 1998.

No much more to say, except it was very funny while it lasted.

God's Rage (1995-1996)

Style: Thrash Metal

Created by Daniel Bautista (guitar, vocals), Francisco David Brito (guitar), Sergio Domínguez (bass) and José Carlos Ojeda (drums). Fran was fired early. Later, Alejandro Morán (guitar) joined the band, and Javier Hernández saved the world from the vocals of Daniel Bautista. Daniel left the band in 1996, to go to Santos Inocentes.

The music: you know, teenagers making noise.

Creada por Daniel Bautista (guitarra, voces), Francisco David Brito (guitarra), Sergio Domínguez (bajo) and José Carlos Ojeda (betaría).

Republika Metalika (1994-1995)

Style: Speed Metal

This band was created by Ruymán Santana (guitars, vocals), Daniel Bautista (guitars, vocals), Vishal Mohandas (bass) and Pablo Montesdeoca (drums) in order to play three or four themes in a Boy Scouts show. And nothing more: the band had more names (Secta, Legend) and more components around Daniel and Ruymán (Luis Merino - guitars, David Sierra - guitars, Carlos Cabrera "Rejo" - drums), but nothing serious. They were only kids!

The origins

In 1993, Daniel started playing the guitar. It was a classic guitar, which is still alive. It wasn't until 1994 when he bought his first electric guitar: a red used Aria Pro II (wow!). He doesn't have that one (he broke it).

Before all that... He was born in Málaga (Spain), July 24th, 1980.
